About Us

Hooker Craig Lum Group Ltd. (HCLG) was incorporated as "Hooker Appraisals LTD." in 1985, at which time our core business focused on the preparation of residential appraisals for mortgage security purpose. Over the years, as the firm grew in size and experience, the scope of HCLG operations and services was expanded to include more complex IC&I real estate valuation and consulting.

HCLG currently maintains a professional staff of seventeen. Fourteen appraisers / AIC candidates (see Our Team) and three support staff who provide a full range of real estate appraisal and consulting services throughout most of the Lower Mainland region of British Columbia.  

Our staff of senior appraisers includes four fully accredited members of the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AACI, P.App. designation), each with extensive experience in the preparation of comprehensive, factual and well supported valuation assignments involving a wide range of industrial, commercial, multiple residential, and investment real estate. 

Our experienced residential division assures clients of competent, timely, reliable appraisal services pertaining to single-family dwellings, duplexes and triplexes, strata-titled apartments and townhomes and vacant residential building lots. 

All of the professional appraisal staff at HCLG maintains errors and omissions insurance coverage through the Professional Liability Insurance Program sponsored by the Appraisal Institute of Canada. 

HCLG provides clients with commercial real estate appraisal services, advisory services, expert testimony, tax assessment appeals and due diligence services. These services are provided at the local level where local knowledge and experience is paramount.
